The deadline: by November 30, by registered mail
Your cancellation must arrive at your insurer by November 30. Send it by registered mail around November 25 so it's guaranteed on time. A normal letter is legally enough, but only registered mail gives you proof.

- Signature. Without a handwritten signature the cancellation is invalid.
- Correct address. Send to your insurer's official cancellation address, not your local agency.
